All music classes are open to students of all abilities and class ages are merely suggestions. Contact Tonya if you feel a younger or older class is more appropriate for your child's developmental level. Classes are integrated with music education and music therapy objectives so that students with different needs and abilities can learn music concepts together and achieve progress in areas such as communication skills, fine/gross motor skills, and social skills.

A performance and preschool music class for 3-5 year-olds that teaches musical concepts and preschool academics ​through familiar children's songs, folk songs, folk dancing, classical/symphonic music, chants, poems, and musical games.

A class for families of young children to sing, dance, and play music together and with other families. Music activities are fun, age-appropriate, and focus on increasing communication, motor, and social skills as well as developing age appropriate musical skills.

Tonya uses the curriculum First Steps in Music for Infants and Toddlers  and  First Steps in Music for Preschool and Beyond  from the
Feierabend Association for Music Education  along with supplemental material from common children’s songs, folk songs, classical music, chants, and poems. Students will sing, dance, and play instruments in every class. As a music therapist, Tonya feels it’s important to encourage communication, motor, social, and academic skills through the same songs that teach musical skills (understanding/demonstrating beat vs. rhythm, singing tunefully, moving artfully, etc.).
